Accountable care systems

Accountable care systems enable NHS organisations to collectively take responsibility for resources and population health.

Accountable care systems involve NHS organisations (both commissioners and providers), often in partnership with local authorities, taking on clear, collective responsibility for resources and population health. They will provide joined up, better coordinated care.  In return, they get far more control and freedom over the total operations of the health system in the area and work closely with local government and other partners to keep people healthier for longer, and out of hospital.

We are currently working with our health and social care partners to develop accountable care systems for each borough.

More information will be added here as these become better established in coming months.
