The NHS is turning 70 on Thursday 5 July 2018. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the NHS, to appreciate the vital role the service plays in our lives, and to recognise and thank NHS staff, who are there to guide, support and care for us, day in, day out.

To celebrate the NHS turning 70, our Fairhaven unit which is an inpatient unit for young people with mental health issues based in Warrington got involved in a creative project and have put together a short animation talking about the future of the NHS.

The Trust will also be getting involved in a number of initiatives and you can view what we are doing by watching our animation below:

Eileen who is a service user volunteer at our Trust has shared her story around her life with an eating disorder. Eileen talks about how different mental health care was back in the 1970s and how an eating disorder wasn't classed as a mental illness.
