Our commitment to quality
At North West Boroughs Healthcare, we are committed to providing the highest quality care for our patients, service users and carers, underpinned by our quality statement:

"The users of our services are our first priority in everything we do, ensuring they receive effective care from caring, compassionate and committed people, working within a common culture and protected from harm."

Our quality priorities
Our Quality Committee is a sub-committee of our Trust Board, providing leadership and assurance to the Trust Board on the effective delivery of the Trust’s quality strategy and is responsible for ensuring we achieve our quality priorities.

These quality priorities, which are detailed in our Quality Strategy and Improvement Plan for 2015-18, are:
  • We will demonstrate a year-on-year improvement in involving and engaging with our service users
  • We will implement our suicide reduction strategy with an aim to reduce service user suicides to zero within five years
  • We will aim to reduce avoidable harm to service users and staff by 20 per cent year-on-year
Our Quality Committee also reviews and ensures compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards around delivering patient care which is caring, responsive, effective, well-led and safe.

As an NHS foundation trust, we are required to submit a quality report every year to independent regulator NHS Improvement, which is published on our website, to demonstrate the Trust’s commitment to improving quality and safety for the people who use our services.
