Atherleigh Park is our £40 million mental health hospital located on Atherleigh Way in Leigh, which opened in 2017. 

Formerly Leigh East Amateur Rugby League ground, the 3.9-hectare site provides high quality inpatient services for adults with mental health problems, as well as patients with dementia and memory conditions.

There is free car parking at Atherleigh Park but the car park can get busy so please allow plenty of time to find a space. 

Atherleigh Park is a two-storey building with ground floor access, however all our wards and services are based on ground-floor level. The first floor of the building is a staff area with lift access.

No smoking policy
North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is smokefree. Patients, carers, visitors and staff are not able to smoke anywhere on Trust premises or in vehicles. This includes the buildings, doorways, grounds, car parks and entrances.
