Make a referral for one of your pupils

Our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) referral form is now available to download on our website, meaning you can now submit a referral for a young person in your school to the MHST.

Who can make a referral?
We are accepting referrals for pupils from staff working in any of the 40 schools involved in the MHST programme in Warrington.

If your school is not on this list, we are unfortunately unable to accept referral for one of your pupils at the moment, but you can still access mental health advice and consultation from your Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) school link worker. Contact CAMHS on 01925 575 904 (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri) to find out how to access this.

How to make a referral
We are in the process of setting up an online referral form which will be built into our website, but you can use a Word document version of the form to submit a referral in the meantime, via the 'download our referral form' button on the right side of the page.

Once you have completed the form, email it to:

Please bear in mind that the full service won’t be operational until September 2020. Any referrals you submit for your pupils between now and September will be for supervised practice with our trainee educational mental health practitioners (EMHPs).

This supervised practice will allow our EMHPs to spend time getting to know your school and pupils while they complete their training course. The full offer of support will available once the EMHPs have finished their training in September.
