Research in the NHS is essential in helping to improve the health and wellbeing of our population and is included within the guiding principles of the NHS Constitution. There is also evidence to suggest that when healthcare organisations engage in research, it's likely to have a positive impact on their performance and patient outcomes.
We are proud to be a research active organisation and we are dedicated to supporting clinical research. We take part in a variety of different research projects and are always looking for new research opportunities to offer to our patients, carers and staff to support the development of treatments for ourselves and for future generations.

Within this section you can find out more about getting involved with research at the Trust and view details of the research studies we're currently taking part in.
